JACOBKRISHNAK Present [BASEBALL]

                    As a traditional story goes, the baseball came into being at cooperstown in 1839. The first players of this game were cadets at a military school.
                    This game was first organised  by Abren Double Day who an instructor at that school, and who later got elevated to the rank of Colonel in the U.S.Army. It was in 1845 that the team of this game played almost in accordance with the modern rules of the game .
                    The game was organised by Alexander Cartwright the Lionerer. It developed a lot during the next decade, and came to be known as New York Baseball so that it may be distinctly remembered from Softball which extremely popular in the American state, Massachusetts. By 1868.
                    It has got fully established, and National Baseball Players Association came into being with twenty five teams.
                    In spite of several ups and downs, the game remained popular. 1920's and 1930's saw the rise of the most important stars of the game as George Ruth, George Ruth was the most famous player of the game.He started as a pitcher, but he was so good as a batter too that he soon became an offensive player.
                    He changed the concepts of the early baseball,and made special efforts in Home-run which drew big crowds for the game.

    EQUIPMENT OF BASEBALL
THE BAT.The ball shall be made of hard board. It shall be spherical in shall be 42" in length and not more than2  3/4" in diameter.It safety handle shall be made of cork, than 15"from the small end of the bat.
THE BASEBALL. The approved baseball shall be a regular, smooth ball with concealed stitches.Its circumference shall not be more than 23cms. Its weight shall not be more than 5 to 5 1/4 oz.
HOME PLATE.Home plate is made of rubber or any other suitable material. It shall have five sides. 17" wide across the edge facing the pitcher.Its sides shall be parallel to the inside of batter's box and shall be 8  1/2  long. Its sades facing the catcher shall be 12 inches long         
PITCHER PLATE.It shall be made of wood or rubber. It shall be 24" long and 6" wide. Its top shall be leval with the ground. Its frount line shall be 46 feet for men and 40 feet for women.
GLOVES,BOOTS,etc. The player can wear gloves. But only the catcher or leather. Their soles shall be smooth of hard rubber cleats. The catcher can wear mask.
PLAYERS AND SUBSTITUTES-Each team shall be composed of players whose positions shall be as follows:
[1] Pitcher [2] Catcher [3] First Base-man [4] Second and Third Base Men [5] Shourt-stop [6]Soft-fielder [7]Central-fielder [8]Right-fielder.
                     A player shall be deemed an official in the game when his name has been entered on score card. A substitute may play in the place of the player whose name is in batter cross. The following forms are notable in such a play:
     1. Batter-when he takes his place in the batter box.
     2. Fielder-when he takes the place of the fielder substituted for.
     3. Runner-when the substitute enters his home.

     4. Pitcher-when he takes his place on the pitcher plate.
